Sprucing up the decking with #ASDAOutdoors

Last month we finally moved into our lovely new home.
We are lucky enough to have a nice, big garden and a lovely decking area at the back of the house.
It looked a bit empty when we first moved in and we couldn't wait to spruce it up ready for Summer!

Fortunately, the lovely people at ASDA approached me about being a part of their #ASDAoutdoors campaign for the Summer and gave me the opportunity to choose some bits for the decking area from their gorgeous garden furniture range.

Isn't it fantastic? It's perfect for garden parties as it's designed  to cook for up to 15 people. It's a stylish, all-American design that looks great out on the decking. With it's large grill and hinged lid, you can decide between slow-cooked BBQ food, or a classic open-top BBQ.

It includes a temperature gauge, 2 side shelves for easy access to condiments and tools, and a clever little drawer for loading more charcoal whilst cooking.

James has enjoyed cooking his first BBQ's on this little beauty!
Where we lived previously, we didn't have a garden so we're still enjoying the novelty of being able to have BBQ's whenever we feel like it. :)

We also chose this Miami 8 piece Patio Set (£125*)

A classic, yet stylish black and charcoal outdoor dining set, it's the perfect focal point for the decking area. The set comes with a parasol, glass top table and 6 folding chairs [the other one is hiding down the garden ;)

It's perfect for sitting outside in the sunshine, enjoying meals with the family, or having friends round on a summer evening.

We've loved having lunch al fresco and being able to sit outside with the kids in the sunshine.

Plastic picnic ware also from ASDA [purchased ourselves]

We still have lots to do to get the decking area looking how we'd like it. Unfortunately we were let down by the gardener and we don't currently have the money to spend so it'll have to wait a little longer.

But I've put together a little wish list of things I'd like...
Outdoor bunting - Etsy
Coloured Glass bottle - ASDA
Kilner drinks dispenser - Lakeland
Coloured Glass jug - ASDA
Artificial Hanging Plant - Homebase
Ronseal Decking Stain - Homebase

How about you?
How would you spruce up a garden decking area?

  1. Nice BBQ and great outdoor furniture. We've got lots of size in the backyard to make it something special but our grill is starting to show it's age and just haven't gotten around to the landscaping or furniture yet. Inspiration here though. #BigFatLinky
