It honestly doesn't feel too long ago that I was writing last months beauty favourites!! Time really is flying by!!
We're settling into Autumn now, so we're moving away from the Summer-y beauty products and changing the skincare and make up looks ready for the cooler weather.
These five products were my most-used, most-loved products of September:
MAC Face & Body Foundation - £22.00
This is my go-to foundation for a barely there, no-makeup look, for those days I don't have much planned. It's light coverage and finishes with a natural satin-sheen. I've often mixed with other foundations or with a highlighter for different looks, but it's definitely been a favourite foundation during September. It's perfect for those days that I don't have anything planned other than a trip to the local shops. Working from home, I often have days like that.
Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation - £30.00
Yep, 2 foundations on the favourites this month. But they both deserve a mention. This has been my go-to foundation for when I leave the house ;) I've had a love/hate relationship with DW over the years [see, we're even on 'initial' terms!] I used to use it religiously, this stuff is like cement, once it's on, it's going nowhere, which is amazing. The finish is flawless and there's no need to re-apply through the day. BUT, with continued use, it used to make my skin really dry. It's a matte finish whereas I prefer a more glow-y sheen. But you won't find many other foundations with better staying power than this, so I've bought it back out for Autumn/Winter. So far, it hasn't made my skin dry, but that could be because my skincare is a lot better than it probably used to be. I'm going to have a go at mixing some highlighter in with it to see if I can get a sheen-er finish. But overall, it's winning! ;)
Lush Dream Cream Body Lotion - £6.25
This stuff is amazing for upset skin and really helps with the appearance of my Keratosis Pilaris, which is why it's a favourite! I'm a big fan of Lush products as I know that my skin isn't being drowned in anything nasty, nothing but natural ingredients and safe synthetics that naturally occur in essential oils. My skin feels really comfortable after use and it feels really calming after shaving.
I used to use premium brand concealer but kept seeing people rave about this stuff. I was a bit on the fence with it being such a low-end brand, but I thought I'd give it a go earlier this year and was VERY pleasantly surprised. I use it under and around my eyes, particularly around the blue tinge of the inner corners of my eyes and it covers it completely! It really is great stuff, I used it daily throughout the summer and I've since repurchased on empty. LOVE!!
MAC Studio Moisture Cream - £24.50
I'm almost out of this stuff, and I've loved using it. It's really rich and creamy and works perfectly well as a primer as it sinks in beautifully and leaves a perfectly balanced finish to my skin ready for make up, which is great as I can sometimes have combination skin, it evens out the skin tone really well.
