November came and went and we're now on the home run to the end of 2016. The weather is well and truly BLOODY FREEZING and we're getting ready to start the festivities.
As always, I'm finishing the month by rounding up my favourite beauty products.
Andrew Barton SOS Hair Repair Shampoo & Conditioner (£3.20 each or 2 for £4.00 / ASDA)
I'm not usually a fan of budget hair products, I find that the term 'you get what you pay for' usually applies for hair care. But I picked these up from ASDA a while ago as I liked the sound of it and fancied trying them out. Infused with moroccan argan oil and shea butter... SOLD! That's pretty much all it took. And I wasn't left disappointed, it hydrates my dry hair, helps to make it more manageable and can we discuss the smell? THAT SMELL! You'll have to take my word for it when I tell you that they smell SO GOOD! When a product makes you say 'Mmmm!' at every use, you know it's a good one! I'm really enjoying using these, they get a big thumbs up from me. And it takes a lot for me to say that about hair products!
Clarins Extra-Firming Eye Wrinkle Smoothing Cream * (£39.00 full size / Boots)
I received a few tubes of these sample size eye creams in a goody bag at an event recently and since I'm on the hunt for an amazing eye cream, I was looking forward to trying them out. I'm not going to say it's working miracles, my lines are still there although the appearance does look a little better. But I'm finding my eye area feels smoother and more moisturised. It sinks into the skin quickly and is a great base for makeup. I'm looking forward to using all the samples to see if it further reduces those annoying lines I'm getting such a complex about.
Redken Pillow Proof Blow Dry Express Treatment Primer * (£17.00 full size)
Another goody bag sample and one that has been really well received. This stuff is FANTASTIC! My hair is really thick, blow drying it is such a chore and one I really don't enjoy doing. It takes SO long. This stuff claims to be a time-saving blow dry primer with heat protection, and it does exactly that. A little bit of this applied to the mid length - ends of my hair and it dries my hair in half the time! It doesn't leave any residue as primers can, and I can head straight to bed after drying my hair. I guess it's quite pricey for a full size version but it really does dry my hair super quick so it's definitely something I'd think about repurchasing.
Eylure Naturals 031 Pre-Glued Lashes (£4.09 / Superdrug)
I find false lashes to look a bit 'too much' on myself. When I've used them in the past, I look back on pictures and think they look far too 'fake'. So I was on the hunt for some natural looking lashes just to give a bit more depth to my own. These definitely do the trick! They're pre-glued but I still use my usual eylure lash glue, so I can't comment on how well they work without glue. They give a little more volume and length, don't look too 'drag like' and they are reusable, so they're a winner for me!
Maybelline Master Precise Skinny Eyeliner (£3.99 / Superdrug)
I'm not quite sure why I purchased this, I was getting low on my MAC kohl, I was picking something else up in Superdrug and well, it was pink. Yes, I'm that girl. I bought it because it was bright pink and I thought 'Ooh, I'll get this too!' Haha, I'm not that bad honest, it was on a 3 for 2 offer. ;) But I've pretty much used it every single day since purchasing, which is why it made it into my monthly favourites this month. With it's retractable twisty casing, just 2 twists line each eye, with it's 1.8mm gel formula tip. I use it along my lash lines and it applies well and lasts all day. I have also used it on my waterline a few times, but obviously remembering it is a gel liner so it doesn't last amazingly long there. Great product!
How about you, what products have you been loving this month?
