Rather than giving out donations to lots of different charities, we’ve decided that as a family we’re going to pick a charity each year to support and raise money for.
This year we’ve chosen to support:
Throughout the year we’re going to be supporting the charity, raising awareness and taking part in personal challenges to raise money. I hope that you’ll support us and I’d love for you to join in with us if you can.
Who are WellChild?
There are 1000’s of children and young people here in the UK living with a long-term or complex health condition. WellChild are a national charity working to ensure the best possible care and support for these children and their families, wherever they are and whenever they need it.
They do this by providing practical and emotional support to seriously ill children and their families so they can leave hospital and live comfortably at home, funding research and projects to ensure parents, carers and those working in the healthcare sector are better equipped to support those with complex needs, and influencing the future of health, education and social care policy to ensure it meets the needs of these families.
Look out for more blog posts about this amazing charity, the work they do, our fundraising and what YOU can do to help.
First, we need to think of our own personal fundraising challenges.
We’ve decided that James is going to do a sponsored leg wax – I’m extremely excited for this!!!
Bradley and I are still deciding…
I’m wondering if I could arrange a sponsored buggy walk locally?
Maybe Bradley’s school could get involved and we could arrange a games console competition one lunch time?
Do you have any ideas for what myself and my 10 year old could do
